Why Not Take In A Show at the Scarborough YMCA?

The YMCA Theatre in Scarborough is a real hotbed of creativity for the local community. It offers a wide range of activities to local children who want to tread the boards, with singing and dancing the most popular clubs they run. The YMCA has its own theatre, which hosts productions all year round. Some of these feature local Youth Theatre groups, which perform to a very high standard; others are visiting ballet and musical theatre productions.

Don’t take our word for it! Their reviews on Trip Advisor are outstanding:

“We went to see the Wizard of Oz (Summer 2011) and it was a lovely family night out. The cast all came out and stood by the door shaking hands and chatting to the audience after the performance which was lovely. It’s in a good location, really central and I’d recommend supporting local theatrical performances, especially when the calibre is this good.”

“Went to see Grease on the last night, what a brilliant production, the cast exuded vitality, enthusiasm and talent. The production was slick, scenery cleverly moved around the stage and the lighting enhanced each scene…”

Here are some of the highlights for the coming year at the YMCA Theatre. Keep an eye of events on their website to see what else might be coming up.
